General Risk Score

What is the General Risk Score?

YUKKA Lab’s General Risk score algorithm continuously monitors and assesses real-time General Risk event exposure. The impact of the events on the score is influenced by the following factors:

1) S Severity: Events’ contribution to the scores depends on their impact, scope and relevance. Events with higher severity have a greater influence on the scores.
2) News coverage frequency: The impact of events on the scores is influenced by the frequency of their news coverage. Events that are reported more frequently hold a greater significance in the scores. Importantly, the frequency of events is adjusted in relation to the overall news volume of the company, ensuring that it proportionally influences the score.
3) Temporality: Scores consider events of the last 100 days. Current events have a stronger impact compared to events that occurred in the past.
4) Factuality: Events reported in the news can be factual, probable, or possible.  Factual events have the highest impact on scores, while possible events have the lowest impact.

Score Scale
The General Risk score ranges from 0 to 10, where higher scores indicate higher risk exposure.

Score Distribution
To ensure a balanced representation, YUKKA Lab calibrates the General Risk Score to maintain a uniform distribution. This means that 10% of companies will have a score higher than 9, while 50% of companies will have a score below 5 and 50% will have a score above 5.

Portfolio Score
The portfolio score reflects the event exposure of all companies within the portfolio. It's worth noting that the portfolio score is not simply the average of the individual company scores. Instead, the influence of events on the portfolio score is adjusted based on the news volume of the overall portfolio. This adjustment considers the news volume of all companies, including those where no score-relevant events are detected.

Note: YUKKA Lab scores are proprietary and cannot be edited. Specific details and calculations of YUKKA Lab’s scoring algorithms are subject to change, as they are constantly reviewed and optimized to incorporate the latest technical advances.
